About Our Dr. Renee Lexow

Dr. Lexow's experience is working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples that all have a wide range of psychological symptoms and presentations. She is committed to helping and encouraging individuals of all ages achieve a better quality of life.

Dr. Lexow is dedicated to assisting and leading individuals, families and couples in finding an improved way of communicating and coping. She finds working with children, adolescents, couples, parents, and families to be most rewarding. Her warmth and approachability is derived from her passion to encourage people to better their lives and environments, as well as their relationships with family and friends.

Dr. Lexow is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who obtained her doctorate degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Clinical Forensic Psychology with concentrations in Child and Adolescence, Adult Offenders, and Law Enforcement. She also earned her Master’s in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a concentration in Child Protection.

Dr. Lexow has a variety of therapeutic experiences by having provided parental coaching, in addition to couples, individual, and family therapy. She has also worked in a variety of environments including private practice, forensic, hospital, in-home, and community mental health settings, where she provided therapy and behavioral support to children, adolescents, parents, and adults. 

Although Dr. Lexow is grounded in a Cognitive Behavioral framework, it is her belief that therapy is for the client; therefore, she incorporates many different interventions into treatment and demonstrates a warm and empathic approach. She strongly believes in meeting her client where he or she may be within the experienced problem. She appreciates and is committed to the importance of truly understanding so she knows how she can best help. Working with a varied and diverse population, has allowed her to tailor her approach to meet the needs of her client as well as to work within presented limitations and abilities.
